The ALGON Chairman of Imo State and Executive Chairman of Oru West Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Ikenna Adikibe, has lauded the leadership and developmental strides of Governor Hope Uzodimma, describing him as a visionary leader with both the capacity and clarity needed to reposition Imo State for lasting progress.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the Governor’s address at the Imo State House of Assembly on Tuesday, Hon. Adikibe expressed profound satisfaction with the governor’s performance, emphasizing that Uzodimma has consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
“His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Dr. Hope Uzodimma, has clearly shown that he has the interest of the people of Imo State at heart. From the onset of his administration, he came in with a well-defined vision and has been working tirelessly to actualize it,” Adikibe stated.
He continued, “Today, as we listen to the governor reel out his administration’s numerous achievements, it is evident that Imo State is firmly on the path of progressive development. The governor has laid a solid foundation that speaks of long-term transformation and people-centered governance.”
Adikibe particularly praised the introduction of the state’s health insurance scheme, describing it as one of the most impactful initiatives under Governor Uzodimma’s leadership.
“The health insurance program is a game-changer,” he said. “It shows the governor’s deep concern for the health and wellbeing of our people. This kind of initiative is exactly what Imo needs — programs that directly improve the quality of life of our citizens.”
In recognition of these efforts, Hon. Adikibe revealed that members of the Imo State House of Assembly had earlier passed a vote of confidence in Governor Uzodimma — a move that further reflects the growing public trust in his administration.
“The vote of confidence from the House is a testament to the governor’s excellent performance,” Adikibe added. “Imo people are happy. We appreciate the work he has done so far, and we are confident he will do even more. Under Governor Uzodimma, Imo State is truly in good hands.”
As the state continues to experience infrastructure renewal, healthcare reform, youth empowerment, and security enhancement, Hon. Adikibe urged all stakeholders and citizens to remain supportive of the governor’s developmental agenda.
“Governor Uzodimma is not just building roads; he is building a future for generations to come,” he concluded.
