The Imo State House of Assembly, on Thursday, confirmed all the commissioner nominees on the list sent by Governor Hope Uzodinma for ratification and confirmation.
Among those confirmed by the Assembly are Bede Eke ,Former Federal lawmaker, immediate past commissioner for information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, the immediate past commissioner for works, Ralph Nwosu, and Chimezie Amadi, the immediate past commissioner of digital economy and e-govt.
Others are Lady Nkechi Ugwu, Anselm Anyanwu, Dr Chika Abazu, Modestus Osakwe, Cosmos Maduba, the immediate past commissioner for agriculture and natural resources, Major Emenike, immediate past commissioner for environment and Obinna Onyeocha-Everistus, and Modestus Osakwe ,Former state lawmaker, Obinna Onwuegbe.
The Clerk of the House of Assembly, Mrs Chinelo Emeghara, before the exercise said 12 names have been forwarded by the governor for screening in the first batch.
She added that more names are being expected.
Recall that the governor dissolved his cabinet on January 16, 2024, the day after his inauguration on January 15, 2024.
