Hon. Chief Uche Nwodu, Executive Chairman of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, has been decorated as an Honorary Member of SAFARI AIUESS Recreation Club, Owerri, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, commitment to human capital development, and outstanding contributions to societal growth.
The honour was conferred during the Club's 63rd Induction, 41st Inauguration and 2026 Investiture Ceremony, held at the SAFARI AIUESS Recreation Club, Shell Camp, Owerri, Imo State.
The colourful ceremony brought together dignitaries, public office holders, traditional rulers, community leaders, professionals, and distinguished guests to celebrate excellence, leadership, and service. The decoration of Hon. Chief Nwodu as an Honorary Member stood out as one of the event's major highlights.
While presenting the honour, the leadership of the Club described the Ehime Mbano Council Chairman as an exceptional grassroots administrator whose dedication to public service, human capital development, and community empowerment has earned him widespread admiration. They noted that honorary membership of the Club is reserved for individuals who have distinguished themselves through integrity, visionary leadership, and meaningful contributions to societal development.
Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving the award, Chief Nwodu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of SAFARI AIUESS Recreation Club for finding him worthy of such a prestigious recognition.
He described the honour as both humbling and motivating, stating that it would inspire him to remain focused on providing purposeful leadership and delivering greater dividends of democracy to the people of Ehime Mbano and Imo State.
The Council Chairman dedicated the award to the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, and the people of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area.
"The Governor gave me the opportunity to serve and brought me into the limelight. Without his confidence in me, this honour may not have been possible. I sincerely dedicate this recognition to him and to the good people of Ehime Mbano, whose support continues to inspire me," he said.
On the political landscape and the forthcoming elections, Chief Nwodu reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, emphasizing that party supremacy remains the cornerstone of electoral success.
"Party is supreme. We will support all APC candidates, and we will work collectively to ensure their victory," he stated.
Speaking on governance and security, the Council Chairman assured residents that Ehime Mbano remains peaceful and secure. He reiterated his administration's commitment to sustaining peace while executing people-oriented policies and developmental projects aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of the people.
