"LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL: HON. IFUNANYA NWANEGWO BRINGS ELECTRICITY TO EZIHU OBOKWE AFTER 13 YEARS OF DARKNESS"

In a momentous occasion that will be etched in the memories of the people of Ezihu Obokwe, Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community, Mbaitoli Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA, Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo, has brought an end to 13 years of total blackout in the community. On a day filled with joy and celebration, Hon. Nwanegwo commissioned a 300KVA transformer donated and fully energized for the use of the community.
The event, which was attended by notable leaders and dignitaries, including Rt. Hon. Frank Onyeji, Leader of the Mbaitoli Legislative Chamber, HRH Eze Marcellus Uzuegbu, Okpata II of Ofekata and Secretary of the Council of Traditional Rulers, Owerri Zone, Prof. Kyrian Ndikom, Traditional Prime Minister of Obi Mbieri, and Dr. Anthony Anuforo, Former DG of NIMET, was a testament to the commitment of Hon. Nwanegwo's administration to deliver impactful, people-oriented projects.
The community came out en masse to welcome the Council Executive and members of the Legislative Chamber with songs of thanksgiving and showers of blessings upon the visionary leadership of Hon. Nwanegwo. Prof. Kyrian Ndikom, speaking on behalf of the traditional ruler, HRH Eze Josiah Osuji, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman, describing the gesture as a divine intervention after over a decade of neglect. He prayed for more developmental strides in Mbieri, noting that Hon. Nwanegwo's leadership is proving to be a blessing to the land.
The highlight of the day was the formal commissioning of the transformer, which has already begun serving the people of Ezihu Obokwe. Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo revealed that he was moved by the passionate plea of the people and took swift action to end their suffering. He gave special thanks to the 3R administration of His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, for creating an enabling environment through his support for the local government autonomy. He urged the community to protect the facility and remain hopeful for more dividends of democracy.
This marks the third community liberated from prolonged darkness within eight months of Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo's administration, signaling that Mbaitoli is truly on the path of total restoration. The people of Ezihu Obokwe and the entire Mbieri community are grateful for the leadership of Hon. Nwanegwo, who has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of his people.
