The Imo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), has taken a significant step towards empowering students and promoting a safer community. To mark the PCRC's 41st anniversary, the Command organized an outreach program at City Primary and Secondary School, Owerri, focused on educating students about the dangers of cultism and drug abuse. This initiative highlights the importance of police
community relations and the role of youth in nation-building.

The event was led by the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, who was accompanied by the National Chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, and other senior officials. The outreach was part of a nationwide celebration, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting community safety and security.
Over 500 students participated in the interactive sessions, which aimed to raise awareness and promote strong community partnerships. The students were engaged and enthusiastic, asking questions and sharing their thoughts on the importance of staying safe and avoiding cultism and drug abuse.

Addressing the students, CP Danjuma stressed the importance of focusing on their education and avoiding cultism and substance abuse. Mr. Chima Chukwunyere, PCRC Imo State Chairman, encouraged students to be agents of
positive change, promoting good morals and reporting crime. He also called on principals to establish PCRC clubs in schools to foster a culture of responsibility and community engagement.
